Sending short messages (SMS) by OfficeMaster for SMS over IP is highly convenient. You just type in your SMS text message, you add one or more phone numbers capable of receiving SMS, and then you send it just like sending an e-mail.

Until now messages could be sent over the OfficeMaster GSM modem or landline network SMS (via OfficeMaster Gate). With the latest OfficeMaster (as of version 3.1), SMS messages can be sent and received via an Internet service provider (ISP).

The SMS numbers stored in the user management are transmitted to the receiver as the return number. This means that the answer is sent to a personal mobile or SMS-enabled landline telephone number.

The requirements for using the SMS over IP service – additional to the OfficeMaster software package – are the interface OfficeMaster SMS over IP and an account at http://www.whatevermobile.com.
