CeBIT 2013: Ferrari electronic launch their latest products in Hanover

The kick-off for solutions in unified communications: OfficeMaster 5, brand new firmware, virtual gateway – in hall 4, booth A26, at the Microsoft Partner booth.

Berlin/Teltow, February 7, 2013. Ferrari electronic, the Berlin-based Unified Communications (UC) specialist, present their latest innovations at CeBIT 2013 (March 5 - 9 in Hanover, Germany). The product innovations are OfficeMaster version 5, the firmware version 4.0, and also a virtual gateway. These fully interoperable hardware and software components are at the heart of UC solutions that integrate fax, SMS and voicemail into different system environments. Visitors to the trade show can see live demos of these products at Ferrari electronic on the Microsoft Partner booth A26 in hall 4.

The evolutionary version of the Unified Communications solution OfficeMaster 5 comes with a number of new features: A Web client optimized for mobile devices, advanced voicemail features, and a new central converter concept form a Unified Communications suite that is admin- and user-friendly. High availability through failover and TLS encryption ensure secure and stable operations for Microsoft Exchange 2013, IBM Notes 9, and other mail servers and Windows systems. OfficeMaster 5 will be available from the start of the CeBIT on March 5.

The Berlin company also has news in terms of firmware. The firmware 4.0 available since January is certified for Microsoft Lync 2013, among others. All of the gateways of the OfficeMaster Gate generation are thus fully compatible with Lync 2013. This of course includes IPv6 support. Moreover, the firmware 4.0 improves by up to 10-times the performance for processing the rules for incoming and outgoing calls.

What's more, IT managers can look forward to the new virtual gateway: OfficeMaster Gate operates as a virtual machine in SIP-trunking contexts, and is available as an image for Hyper-V and ESX. Once in use, the virtual OfficeMaster Gate operates just like the "normal" hardware version. Similar to the OfficeMaster 5, the virtual gateway is available from March 5.

Johann Deutinger, CTO of Ferrari electronic AG: "These latest developments to our solutions mean that we can provide optimal support for companies of all sizes, and we can also cater for the latest generation of Microsoft products. This of course includes the Microsoft Lync Server 2013, for which we currently supply an enhanced gateway as one of only two certified vendors worldwide."
